Currently the chairman, department of radiology at St. Luke’s Hospital – Bethlehem Campus, Dr. Folander earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, New York, NY. He completed his medical residency at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT and his residency in radiology at the University of Connecticut Health Center - University Hospital, Farmington, CT, where he was chief resident. Dr. Folander also completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, MA.

Dr. Folander is a member of the American Board of Radiology with added qualifications in vascular and interventional radiology. Dr. Folander has authored and co-authored numerous publications in his area of expertise and is currently involved in several research projects. He is a professional member in the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the AHA - Council of Cardiovascular Radiology.
