The Morning of Surgery
Please leave any valuables including money or jewelry at home.
Do not wear makeup of any type.
If you are given x-rays you must bring them with you to the hospital. Please do not give them to anyone other than your surgeon.
You will usually leave your room about an hour prior to your scheduled surgery. Your family may come in early to visit you. Please notify the nurse at the hospital where your family members will be waiting. The doctor will see them after the surgery is over. Typically surgery will not usually start for one-two hours after your family has left. This time is spent in preparation by anesthesia and the nursing staff.
